If you have been searching for the most natural, oat milk melt and pour (glycerine) soap base on the market, then this product is for you. This is a coconut oil soap base, with added oat milk.

Crafted in NZ, this white soap base contains only natural ingredients. It provides an excellent skin feel and is extremely high lather. Perfect for those with sensitive/dry skin but also cleansing enough to use on oilier skin. It is a true all-rounder.

To Melt: Chop into small 2cm cubes and melt in a Pyrex jug in the microwave on short 20-30 second bursts or on a double-boiler. Do not leave unattended (watch it carefully) as this base melts very quickly. Please also note that (just like coconut oil) this base will be clear when melted and white when solid.

Colouring your base: This base accepts colourants readily, just keep in mind that its base colour is white.

If you just want a pure and natural soap, just chop it off the block as you need it – no need to add any fragrances or colour.

Colour: White.

Odour: Mildly sweet.

Vegan Status: Vegan friendly.

Melting Point: 45-55 °C.

Product Consistency: This is a very hard base. Take care when un-moulding small or intricate soaps – we recommend freezing them for 30 minutes prior. It also sets up quickly and will form a skin if you don’t keep stirring. I find it a bit like working with candle wax and recommend giving it a really good tap once in the mould, to ensure it has reached all edges of the mould. You can still swirl and layer the base, but it takes some practise. Remember, this is a natural base and does not contain artificial ingredients that make it easier to work with.

Decomposition Point: 150°C. Do not over-heat this base as it is a natural product made from oils and will begin to smoke if you heat it above this point.

pH: 7.8-8.5. This is quite low for soap and will not strip your skin like higher pH soaps.

This is my first time using melt and pour soap and I’m really enjoying having a play. I added a few other moisturising ingredients, It lathers well and feels nice on the skin. The hardest thing is trying to find the right essential oil mix to blend with it! Great product. Thanks.

I used the same additives in this bar as I did with the low sweat basic soap with the Tamanu, plus, honey and ground oats. Another hit! Wow, sooooo creamy and luxurious. These bases are so easy to work with and create signature soaps. Another great product, and at the right price. The cheapest and best around!
